Negros Oriental, a true Paradise without equal, is located in the heart of the Visayas and unspoiled by mass tourism. Perfection comes from the use the highest quality design, materials, infrastructure and furnishings, as you would expect from a luxury “Boutique Resort”. We are one of the few, beachfront restaurants facing Apo Island where you can savour a fresh gourmet fish dinner. Purity comes from Thalatta’s commitment to the environment, to our guests and from the natural friendliness of the staff. Thalatta represents total respect for the sea and nature! We have implemented and maintained an environmental management system to reduce the consumption of natural resources, energy and water-saving programs and to prevent pollution by waste separation. We communicate our environmental goals to the local community and our guests in order to be in harmony with this lovely environment. Our Hotel is equipped with a solar powered water heating system, which requires no electrical energy. Our garden lighting and back up energy are also powered from our Solar Power system.
In Greek mythology Thalatta, also known as Thalassa, Thalath, or Tethys, was the primeval spirit of the sea. Aesop wrote fables about her in which she spawned the tribes of fish. She is sometimes considered to be the mother of Aphrodite and one of the moons of Neptune is called Thalassa. A Filipino and French couple who love the sea, created Thalatta Resort which opened in February 2007. Our vision is “ Paradise, Perfection, Purity”.
