About Harold... I am a local from Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. I tried my first discovery dive back in 1997 with a local dive instructor in Apo Island, Philippines. I was amazed by the colors of the corals and the vibrant marine life. After that first dive, I knew I wanted to pursue diving seriously—so I got certified. I completed my Open Water course, then went on to the Advanced Diver certification. It was more than just recreation, it became “my happy place”.
After that, I took my Rescue Diver course and eventually became a Dive Master. Diving had become my passion, and it remains until today. I truly love the ocean. After finishing my DMT, I started organizing dive trips to Dauin, Apo Island, and Sumilon Island, where the seascapes are literally and figuratively breathtaking! My guests were consistently amazed and impressed by the underwater sights we encountered.
That inspired me to open my own dive shop, complete with brand-new gear, tanks, a compressor, and a new boat—MCBA Rosefel—a large, comfortable vessel equipped with a restroom, a kitchen, and comfortable long benches. I’m proud to have a well-trained boat crew and experienced local dive guides by my side. We’ve been navigating these waters day in and day out for decades.
