Во время дайвинга на Кирибати ты, скорее всего, столкнешься с выходом на берег и погружением с традиционных аутригерных каноэ. Также возможен дайвинг на лайвбордах, на которых дайверы могут посетить лучшие места в окрестностях различных островов.
Основными базами для дайвинга являются острова Рождества и Тарава. Остров Рождества - самый большой и самый известный остров Кирибати, на котором находится самый большой коралловый атолл на Земле. Он привлекает множество дайверов своими девственными рифами, где процветают многочисленные морские виды. Дайверов ждут калейдоскопические рифовые рыбы, твердые и мягкие кораллы цвета радуги, мурены-драконы, черепахи, рифовые акулы, скаты манта и орлы, и даже дельфины-спиннеры. С декабря по апрель здесь часто можно встретить касаток, дельфинов и китов-минков. С ноября по апрель можно встретить китовых акул. Атолл Тарава также может похвастаться фантастическим дайвингом, а кроме того, здесь можно увидеть реликвии Второй мировой войны - результат конфликтов в этот период.
