FRENCH and ENGLISH instructor
The Advanced Open Water AOW/Level 2 - 30 m course takes place over two days and includes five dives.
The Advanced Open Water course costs 10,000 THB.
During these 5 dives, you will cover 5 different topics:
Deep
diving to 30 metres, wreck diving, navigation and underwater
orientation, neutral buoyancy and BCD management, and night diving.
On the first day, from 10:00 to 10:45 in the morning, you will have a theory lesson in the classroom.
At
around 11:00, we will board the boat and you will do your first dive
on buoyancy, which will last 45 minutes and include exercises on
managing your buoyancy compensator.
We will return to the boat and have lunch (included in the price).
You
will have a debriefing of the dive, then we will do the second dive,
which will be dedicated to discovering wrecks and safety rules.
The boat will return to port around 5:30pm.
You
will leave on the boat at 6:30 p.m. for your last dive, a night dive.
Equipped with torches, you will explore the seabed in new conditions.
During the day, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., you will have another theory lesson.
At 11:00 a.m., we will board the boat for two dives, one
dedicated to underwater orientation using a compass and reading
underwater maps, and the second where you will descend to between 20 and
30 metres in order to validate your 30-metre level
The boat will return to port at 5:30 p.m.
During this training course, you will:
- attend two 1-hour classroom sessions
- complete a buoyancy control exercise dive
- complete a wreck discovery dive
- complete a deep dive to 30 metres
- complete a discovery dive and exercises on underwater navigation
- go on a night dive
- review how to assemble your diving equipment and detect potential problems
- learn how to perform pre-dive checks
- perform exercises in different areas to help you feel comfortable and safe underwater
- rediscover underwater communication
- be introduced to the different marine species of Koh Tao
Training schedule:
Day 1
10:00 am: theory lesson (1 hour)
11:00 am: departure by boat
12:00 pm: dive 1 – Perfect buoyancy
1:00 pm: lunch on the boat and debriefing
2:00 p.m.: Dive 2 - Wreck diving
5:30 p.m.: Return to port
6:30 p.m.: Departure on the boat
7:00 p.m.: Dive 3 - Night dive
8:00 p.m.: Return to port
Day 2
10:00 a.m.: Theory lesson (1 hour)
11:00 am: Departure from the boat
12:00 pm: Dive 4 - Orientation dive
1:00 pm: Lunch on the boat and debriefing
2:00 pm: Dive 5 - Deep dive to 30 m
4:00 pm: Option of additional dive (optional)
17:30: return to port

- 15 years old (minimum), maximum training depth - 30 m
