Located on the port of Portivy, Saint Pierre Quiberon for 25 years, the Centre Haliotis Plongée welcomes you for diving pleasure in Southern Brittany. From April to October, this human-sized structure offers scuba diving initiation, training and exploration dives. Whether you’re on your own, with friends, family or in a group, you’ll be welcomed in a friendly atmosphere by professional instructors eager to share their passion for the sea and help you discover the rich underwater flora and fauna of the Quiberon peninsula. Some twenty sites are on offer, including wrecks. The sites, most of which are within the 18m zone, are highly varied: canyons, caves, drop-offs, rocky or sandy bottoms, etc. The wrecks, including the NannSmith, the Thracia and the Pontoporos, between 25 and 35m depth, are home to numerous fish, conger eels, lobsters and other crustaceans.

Center Haliotis Plongée offers something for everyone, from beginners to advanced divers. State-qualified (DEJEPS plongée - E4) and SSI instructor, Delphine will always welcome you with a smile and put her years of experience and skills at your service to ensure that you have an unforgettable time in complete safety. The entire Haliotis Plongée team is totally dedicated to ensuring that you have a long life of diving adventures through quality training. Your instructor will guide you at your own pace towards a high level of competence, so that you can always enjoy yourself to the full. We guarantee you’ll be able to enjoy your dives with small group training (1 instructor for 4 divers maximum), flexible schedules (Monday to Sunday) and personalized programs for maximum time in the water!

The premises are located 20m from the east slipway of Portivy harbor. You’ll find all the equipment you need for your dives, plus a Bauer compressor for tank inflation. MAGIC the 8.5-meter Zodiac RIB powered by a 300 hp Yamaha can accommodate up to 15 divers. It is equipped with a raised tank rack to ensure comfortable and safe boarding and launching, and to protect divers’ backs. Naturally, the boat is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment: GPS, VHF, depth sounder, oxygen therapy, first-aid kit and a ladder specially designed for ascending divers.

En el 240, a 3,3 millas náuticas del Puerto de Portivy, yace el Nann Smith, un carguero noruego que transportaba mineral de hierro, a 24 m de profundidad. Se hundió en 1917, alcanzado por una mina flotante. En el fondo del mar, las calderas se elevan de 4 a 5 m y la estructura del barco sigue siendo claramente visible.
