I started diving in 2004 while on holiday in Fuerteventura, I have to say want an amazing adventure I’ve had since. I would have never dreamed opening my own SSI Training Centre a few years later. I want Scuba to be fun, we are committed to provide every customer with the link between professional training and customer-oriented diving activities. ★★★★☆ Stoney Cove
Der Steinbruch Stoney Cove war ursprünglich eine Granitmine. Als 1958 der Abbau an diesem Standort eingestellt wurde, füllte sich der Steinbruch mit Quellwasser. Heute besteht die Stätte aus 3 Hauptebenen: ein 6 m langer Bereich, ideal für Anfänger, ein 36 m langer Sumpf für Fortgeschrittene und der Hauptkörper besteht aus 2 großen, 22 m tiefen Bereichen.
★★★★☆ Capernwray (Jackdaw Quarry)
Capernwray ist der Inlandstauchplatz des Nordwestens, der von vielen Tauchern und Tauchschulen besucht wird. Im Winter ist er in der Regel an Wochenenden und Donnerstags geöffnet, im Sommer auch Mittwochs bis zum Abend.
★★★★☆ St. Abbs
Einige der berühmtesten Tauchplätze St. Abbs liegen nur 50 m von der Hafenmauer entfernt: "Cathedral Rock", "Big Green Carr", "Broad Craig" und "Little Carr". Diese Plätze können als Landtauchgang vom Hafen aus getaucht werden oder andere Plätze können mit dem Tauchboot erreicht werden.
★★★★☆ Farne Islands
Die Farne-Inseln sind berühmt für ihre Kolonie von 4,5 Tausend Kegelrobben und es wimmelt nur so von Leben an den vielen verschiedenen Tauchplätzen. Die meisten Tauchplätze befinden sich um die äußeren Farnes mit Wracks und Riffen, die es zu erkunden gilt.
★★★★☆ Eight Acre Lake
Eight Acre hat eine maximale Tiefe von 14m, die für die meisten Ausbildungskurse ideal ist und gute Möglichkeiten für Sporttauchgänge bietet. Rund um den See gibt es mehrere Trainingsplattformen in verschiedenen Tiefen, die für die Ausbildung benötigt werden. Es gibt 2 tiefe Zugänge zum See, sowie einen Hang mit Geländer.
