Les Heures Saines - Plongée Guadeloupe, Plongez dans la Réserve Cousteau

Located across from the Cousteau Reserve, within the heart of the Guadeloupe National Park, Les Heures Saines introduces you to one of the Caribbean’s most spectacular dive destinations. Sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tropical fish, and vibrant coral reefs — the waters of the Ilets Pigeon promise extraordinary encounters just minutes from the dock. Established on the Malendure rock in Bouillante for nearly 40 years, our dive center runs up to 7 boat dives per day, year-round. For divers looking for something extra: expeditions to the legendary Sec Pâté in the Canal des Saintes along the Côte-sous-le-Vent, night dives every Wednesday and Saturday, and three iconic wreck dives — the Gustavia, the Augustin Fresnel, and the Franjack.

Three priorities guide every dive we run: your safety, your comfort, and the preservation of the marine environment. All equipment — tanks (from 6L for kids to 15L), regulators, BCDs, and masks — is already on board. Your dive instructor will fit everything to you at the dock. On full-day trips, a freshly prepared meal is served at sea: fish, meat, or vegetarian, your choice at the time of booking. Safety is non-negotiable: every trip includes a dedicated surface safety attendant, and our front desk is equipped with a defibrillator and all required emergency gear. All rental equipment is disinfected after each use. As signatories of the Longitude 181 charter, we are actively committed to protecting the Cousteau Reserve: selective waste sorting, plastic collection, and educating divers on responsible behavior underwater. Specialized marine biodiversity courses are also available.

A parking lot is available right in front of the center. Upon arrival, you’re welcomed on a terrace overlooking the Ilets Pigeon with a complimentary coffee or tea. Once you’ve picked up your wetsuit and fins (fitting room available), you head down to the dock where the boat is ready and waiting. For divers taking courses, two classrooms are available: one outdoors on the terrace, and one in the covered gazebo near the dock. We offer adapted dives for people with disabilities (handicap diving). Get in touch and we’ll work out the best option together. We regularly welcome groups of 10 or more divers. Élina, our dedicated group coordinator, will handle every detail of your stay.

Nadine and Jean-Christophe lead Les Heures Saines alongside a team of dedicated diving professionals: around a dozen certified instructors, three boat captains who also serve as surface safety attendants, and multilingual front desk staff. Most of the team lives in Guadeloupe year-round; others make the trip every winter, drawn back by the exceptional richness of these waters. Our on-site shop carries books on Caribbean marine life, replacement parts and dive accessories, as well as a selection of souvenirs to take home.
