Morecambe Area Divers opened its doors to the public in January 2009 offering scuba instruction by instructors with over 40 years of diving and instructing experience both in the UK and abroad. In 2017 MAD joined forces with the SSI with more instructors coming on board and in 2017 they were joined by Mohamed “Curly“ Mokhtar Elazab, an Instructor from the Red Sea with over 14 years of experience teaching scuba diving. In 2020 MAD Dive School was formed with Mark True and Curly as directors. Both MAD Dive School and Morecambe Area Divers are committed to providing every customer with the very finest dive equipment, dive education and dive travel, all with unequalled personal service.

Capernwray ist der Inlandstauchplatz des Nordwestens, der von vielen Tauchern und Tauchschulen besucht wird. Im Winter ist er in der Regel an Wochenenden und Donnerstags geöffnet, im Sommer auch Mittwochs bis zum Abend.
Einige der berühmtesten Tauchplätze St. Abbs liegen nur 50 m von der Hafenmauer entfernt: "Cathedral Rock", "Big Green Carr", "Broad Craig" und "Little Carr". Diese Plätze können als Landtauchgang vom Hafen aus getaucht werden oder andere Plätze können mit dem Tauchboot erreicht werden.
Wastwater, der tiefste natürliche See Englands, der im Lake District National Park liegt, entstand in einem Gletschertal 60m über dem Meeresspiegel. Er ist 4,8km lang, 500m breit und erreicht an seiner tiefsten Stelle eine Tiefe von 79m. Der See befindet sich im Besitz des National Trust und ist ein beliebtes Touristenziel.
Die Farne-Inseln sind berühmt für ihre Kolonie von 4,5 Tausend Kegelrobben und es wimmelt nur so von Leben an den vielen verschiedenen Tauchplätzen. Die meisten Tauchplätze befinden sich um die äußeren Farnes mit Wracks und Riffen, die es zu erkunden gilt.
