Dieser abgelegene Ort war früher einer der Top-Plätze für Tauchsafaris und hat sich inzwischen zu einem beliebten Tauchziel entwickelt. Es ist von unberührten, geschützten Gebieten umgeben, in denen man einige der unberührtesten Tauchgebiete der Welt sehen kann. Die besten Monate zum Tauchen in Berenice
Das Rote Meer bietet Tauchern das ganze Jahr über gute Sicht und angenehme Wassertemperaturen. In dieser Region gibt es keine extremen Wetterbedingungen, die das Tauchen beeinträchtigen. Die wärmsten Wassertemperaturen herrschen von Juni bis September mit durchschnittlich 27-28 Grad Celsius. Die kältesten Wassertemperaturen sinken nur auf etwa 20 Grad Celsius, so dass das Tauchen das ganze Jahr über angenehm ist; in den kältesten Monaten kommen Taucher auch mit einem 5 mm langen Anzug aus.
Die Sichtweite liegt immer im Bereich von 20-40 Metern, also genug, um die spektakuläre Unterwasserwelt zu sehen. Es gibt Zeiten im Jahr, in denen die Winde zunehmen. Das ist normalerweise zwischen Oktober und April der Fall und kann die Bootstouren beeinträchtigen, aber das ist nicht sehr häufig.

1. Sha’ab Sataya (Dolphin Reef)
Sha’ab Sataya is famous for its resident pods of spinner dolphins and vibrant coral gardens. It’s an easy dive for all levels and suitable for both scuba and freediving. With calm conditions and 30m+ visibility, it offers a serene encounter with dolphins, colorful reef fish, and occasional turtles.
2. Habili Radir
This isolated reef is rich with soft corals, anthias, jacks, and sometimes barracudas or grey reef sharks. Strong currents and depths over 30m make it an advanced scuba dive. The pinnacle structure and exposed location offer a thrilling drift dive with impressive pelagic sightings.
3. Sha’ab Claude
Sha’ab Claude features unique swim-throughs, arches, and light-filled coral corridors inhabited by butterflyfish, parrotfish, and moray eels. Suitable for easy to moderate-level scuba divers, this site provides a beautiful, maze-like underwater landscape ideal for exploration and photography.
4. Sataya South Wall
Located on the outer edge of the Sataya reef system, this wall dive descends past 40m and attracts tuna, barracudas, and sometimes oceanic whitetip sharks. It’s a technical-level scuba dive with potential for strong currents. The dramatic drop-off and remote location make it a top site for experienced divers.
5. Sha’ab Maksour
Sha’ab Maksour is a long, narrow reef with plateaus on both ends and vertical walls. It’s home to soft corals, fusiliers, and large pelagics like napoleon wrasse and reef sharks. Best for advanced scuba diving, it offers excellent visibility and dramatic underwater topography in a relatively undisturbed marine zone.
