Playa del Ingles ist ein speziell angelegter Ferienort im Süden von Gran Canaria, Kanarische Inseln. Tauchen in Playa del Ingles ist von den Tauchbasen in der Umgebung möglich, die die meisten Tauchplätze der Insel erkunden, einschließlich des bekanntesten Tauchplatzes auf Gran Canaria, dem El Cabron Marine Reserve.
El Cabrón is one of Europe’s top dive sites, featuring volcanic arches, caves, and dramatic drop-offs. Suitable for all levels of scuba divers, it’s home to angel sharks, groupers, cuttlefish, and colorful nudibranchs. As a protected marine reserve, the biodiversity here is exceptional.
Located in the north of Gran Canaria at a depth of 35 metres, the Arona Wreck is ideal for advanced scuba divers. This sunken freighter shelters large schools of barracuda, eagle rays, and moray eels, offering a technical dive with excellent photographic opportunities.
Just off the coast from Playa del Inglés, this artificial reef is perfect for beginner to intermediate scuba divers. It hosts a thriving ecosystem of octopus, moray eels, cuttlefish, and wrasse. The reef structure provides shelter and makes for an easy, enjoyable dive with great visibility.
Pasito Blanco is a gently sloping reef known for its calm conditions and rich marine life. This site is suitable for all scuba diving levels and is frequently visited by barracuda, stingrays, and garden eels. Its close proximity to Playa del Inglés makes it a popular half-day trip.
This sheltered bay near Playa del Inglés is excellent for freedivers and beginner scuba divers. With seagrass meadows and shallow reefs, it is home to bream, trumpetfish, and juvenile octopus. Its calm, clear waters offer easy access and a relaxing underwater environment.
