Die Insel Tinggi liegt 30 Kilometer vor der Küste der Strandstadt Mersing in Johor, Malaysia. Sie ist von kristallklarem, warmem Wasser umgeben und beherbergt einen großen Reichtum an Meeresarten. Pulau Tinggi lässt sich mit einem Wort beschreiben: "Gelassenheit". Und hier gilt das über und unter Wasser. Über dem Wasser befindet sich ein erloschener Vulkan, der höchste Punkt aller Inseln in diesem Gebiet, der von üppigem Grün bedeckt ist, und die weißen Sandstrände, die ihn umgeben, sind ein wahrhaft ruhiges Paradies. Für Taucher gibt es hier 12 Tauchplätze, die alle blühende Korallenriffe und lebhafte Meeresarten beherbergen. Auf Pulau Tinggi gibt es keine Tauchbasen, aber auf der Nachbarinsel Pulau Sibu gibt es welche.
