The Black Anchor Scuba Diving & Snorkeling was founded in 2013 by Mariana Uriel, the first woman in Puerto Rico to establish a dive center on her own. With the idea of changing the perspective of diving in Puerto Rico by making it a sport accessible to all, providing safe and exciting underwater adventures and scuba diving courses at all levels, from entry level to professional. The Black Anchor offers a range of scuba diving courses, from introductory sessions for beginners to advanced certification programs. The courses are conducted by certified and experienced instructors who ensure that participants receive comprehensive training and guidance. Some of the popular courses include: •Basic Diver: you will learn the skills and knowledge you need to try diving up to 40ft/12m deep with an SSI Professional. It is a great way to explore the underwater world more fully as you try diving •Scuba Skill Update: we will get you back in the water and dive very ease in no time. This scuba refresher course allows you to review and practice scuba skills you learned in your Open Water Diver course, under the guidance of an SSI Professional. •Referral: Allows us to complete your open water course in our Training Center. •Open Water Diver: This beginner course covers the basics of scuba diving, including safety procedures, equipment usage, and underwater navigation. •Advanced Open Water Diver: Designed for those looking to enhance their diving skills, this course includes specialized dives such as deep diving, underwater navigation, and night diving, nitrox. •Rescue Diver: This course focuses on developing the skills needed to prevent and manage diving emergencies, with an emphasis on rescue techniques and first aid. •Divemaster: Professional certification, this course trains divers to assist instructors and lead dive trips. •Assistant Instructor/Instructor Training: The Assistant Instructor rating is the next step after becoming a Divemaster along the scuba instructor pathway. It allows you to collect valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academics, and conduct in-water training. If you want to further your career as a dive professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Evaluation, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor •Specialty Instructor Seminar: Continue your diving education as an instructor by enrolling in a Specialty Instructor Seminar for each of the diving specialties you would like to teach. Alternatively, you can co-teach the specialty you are interested in with an experienced Specialty Instructor or request a Verification Application of your experience and send it directly to SSI. Teach more specialties to automatically earn the Advanced Open Water Instructor certification. •Assistant Instructor Trainer: Assistant Instructor Trainers prepare Assistant Instructors to teach academics and conduct in-water training. Denna plats är resterna av en gammal pir. Det är ett grunt dyk, inte djupare än 30-35 fot med sandbotten. Vraket på botten utgör ett artificiellt rev för ett stort antal olika marina organismer. Sikten varierar mellan 10 fot (om det har regnat) och över 50 eller 60 fot.
Detta är en naturlig revplats med ett djup från 30 fot upp till cirka 70-80 fot, med en gradvis nedgång. Strandlinjen är stenig så du måste vara försiktig med var du kliver, men dyket är ett trevligt nöjesdyk. Sikten kan variera från 15 fot till över 50 eller 60 fot.
MV Ambar är ett vrak som endast kan nås med båt och har ett maxdjup på 160 fot. På grund av vrakets extrema djup är denna plats endast avsedd för erfarna dykare med lämplig utbildning och utrustning för dekompressionsstopp. Sikten är vanligtvis utmärkt och dykare kan uppleva lätta till måttliga strömmar i området.
Detta är ett grunt land- eller båtdyk på resterna av en gammal sockerbruksbrygga. Botten är sandig och full av vrakdelar från piren med ett maxdjup på 40 fot. Sikten är vanligtvis mycket god och det finns normalt ingen stark ström i området.
DPV dyk ... 60 ft / 18m ... 1/2 mil från stranden, möjligt att hitta artefakter. Många olika små lastvrak från början av 1900-talet och forntida spanskt försvarsbatteri och många invasioner från britter, holländare och franska försvarades av den spanska armén på 1600-talet ...
Det är ett djupdyk på 127 fot/38 meter, endast från båt, du behöver nitrox för att kunna njuta av det. Det är ett ww2 plan inte för mycket att se, bara några motordelar och några fusel arch.
Du kan dyka allt från rev till vrak.Du kan bara åka med båt.Du kan dyka på skaldjur, väggar och rev.Djup från 20 till 200 meter.
Det här är ett grunt dyk från stranden med sandig/klippig botten och naturligt bildade valv. Ett antal gamla ankare kan hittas i området och botten är perfekt för lektioner och för att öva på flytkontroll. Det marina livet består mestadels av små tropiska fiskar, med enstaka sköldpaddor eller rockor som simmar förbi.
Den ligger på ett djup av 0 till 40 fot, den kan nås från stranden, botten är sandig, för att njuta av vad den har rekommenderas det att använda nitrox, så att du kan stanna längre på djupet. Perfekt för nattdyk.
