Utforska Maumere
Maumere, som ligger mitt på ön Flores i östra Nusa Tenggara, är en i stort sett okänd och obesökt dykdestination. På grund av att Maumere är granne med de extremt populära dykplatserna Bali, Komodo och Gilis får det ofta inte den uppmärksamhet det förtjänar. Maumere erbjuder fantastiska väggdyk täckta av gorgonier stora som bilar, muckdyk med ett antal endemiska arter samt grodfisk och mimic octopus - Maumere är mer än värt ett besök! Speciellt med tanke på att grindvalar, kaskeloter och delfiner alla har setts utanför kusten.
Flyg direkt till Maumere från Bali för att bo på någon av dykresorterna eller ta dagliga turer från de få dykcentren. Åk till Maumere efter att ha avslutat dykkurser i Labuan Bajo, för att uppleva mer av de omgivande Flores-vattnen. På grund av sitt avlägsna läge görs sportdykning i Maumere ofta av liveaboards som reser till de Små Sundaöarna.

The Channel
The Channel, located near Pulau Besar, Dambilah, and Pangabatang, offers a thrilling dive experience with strong currents. Divers can see eagle rays, marble rays, and whitetip sharks. Pulau Babi - The Crack
At Pulau Babi, The Crack reveals the effects of a 1992 earthquake with a 70 cm-wide fissure. This site is home to flourishing corals, small fish, and sometimes hammerhead sharks and sea turtles. It is an advanced scuba diving site, with a steep wall making it a thrilling dive.

New Ankermi Slope

För att undvika regnperioden på Flores kan du göra sportdykning i Maumere från april till och med oktober. Men kaskeloter ses bäst under regnperioden från november till december medan valhajar ses mellan april och maj.
