Dutchess Scuba Diving welcomes you to the great adventure of underwater exploration. Dutchess Scuba Diving opened in the fall of 2013 all because Divemaster Gordie Garrand loves diving. Gordie was bitten by the diving bug in the 1970’s and continues to love diving and sharing the experience and opportunity with anyone and everyone. That is the basic principal of the shop. To share and foster the love of scuba diving. We offer classes from beginner to advanced in our on-site classroom. We work very hard to instill the skills and to foster confidence in all of our divers. We do most of our pool work at the YMCA in Kingston where the sills of diving are learned and perfected and then it’s off to an open water location for a weekend of diving and graduation as a certified diver. Once certified we try to encourage divers to continue and grow in the sport.
To that end, we have a fully stocked retail dive shop with all the required gear and equipment. If there is something that you are looking for we will do whatever we can to get it for you. We service most brands and we have a very knowledgeable service tech capable of most all repairs. We also rent gear to those that prefer not to own their equipment. We inspect and fill tanks.
If diving in the Northeast is not for you, we run trips to tropical locations that are always a great time and eagerly looked forward to.
So welcome to the the scuba diving family where adventure and comradery are a major component of our mission. Let’s begin!
