★★★★★ Los Islotes
Jadis appelé "l'aquarium du monde" par Jacques Cousteau, la plongée dans les eaux entourant La Paz, au Mexique, est justement cela : si riche en vie marine diverse, c'est comme plonger dans un aquarium. Los Islotes s'enorgueillit de ses formations rocheuses et de sa vie marine abondante, mais la plupart des plongeurs viennent ici pour les lions de mer.
★★★★★ Swanee Reef
Swanee Reef est un site de plongée naturel situé au sud de l'île Espíritu Santo, près de La Paz, au Mexique. Il est connu pour sa riche vie marine, notamment ses lions de mer, ses raies, ses murènes et ses grands bancs de poissons. Il est également connu pour être le site du naufrage du ferry Salvatierra.

Cette épave se trouve dans 70ft/18m d'eau. Elle convient aux plongeurs Open Water ou Advanced Open Water. Bateau militaire américain qui a été donné au gouvernement mexicain afin de créer un récif artificiel.

Le Fang Ming, également connu sous le nom de "Chinese Wreck", était un cargo chinois abandonné par la marine mexicaine en 1995 alors qu'il tentait de transporter 88 immigrants chinois illégaux vers la Californie.

Probablement le site de plongée le plus célèbre de La Paz, au Mexique, les Baja Seamounts sont une série de monts sous-marins ravagés par de forts courants car ils sont exposés au grand large de la mer de Cortez. C'est pourquoi ce site est considéré comme un site de plongée de niveau avancé à expert et n'est accessible que par bateau.
