カバレテはドミニカ共和国プエルト・プラタ州の北部沿岸に位置しており、そのなめらかな砂浜と透き通った海は、年々多くの旅行者を魅了しています。ダイビングの目的地として、カバレテはあらゆるスキルレベルに対応するすべてを備えています。初心者は、湾内の広大なサンゴ礁に息づく豊富な海洋生物を、浅くて穏やかな海で満喫できます。経験豊富なダイバーは、レックやケーブ、ドロップオフを深く探索し、深場の深淵な美しさに浸ることが可能です。

カバレテの周辺にはさまざまなビーチがあり、初心者からベテランまでダイビングを楽しむことができます。主なサンゴ礁はカバレテベイ、カイトビーチ、エンクエントロで、これらはすべて互いに数分以内の距離に位置しています。

このエリアには多くのダイブセンターやダイブリゾートがあり、いくつかのダイブクルーズもこの地域で最高のダイブサイトを訪れます。多くのダイブショップは、風や波が海洋コンディションを乱すことの少ないソスアの保護区へと向かいます。そこでは、非の打ち所がないほど澄んだ海と、最高に穏やかな水中を楽しむことができます。漁業が禁止されているため海洋生物が繁栄しており、さらにダイバーはサンゴ再生プロジェクトを確認することも可能です。

カバレテでのダイビングは、目に見えるものだけがすべてではありません。1月から3月にかけて、ダイバーは繁殖地へ行き来するザトウクジラの歌を聴くことができます。ドミニカ共和国にはこれらの繁殖地が2か所ありますが、これは世界でも数少ない貴重な場所の一つです。

Top Cabarete Dive Sites

Miguelina Wreck

Located at 24 meters/79 feet, this wreck is home to a 250-year-old anchor covered in corals, teeming with Caribbean marine life. Suitable for advanced scuba divers, its historical allure and coral encrustations make it a unique underwater exploration site.

Zingara Wreck

This sunken cargo freighter sits at 36 meters/118 feet, acting as an artificial reef. Ideal for technical scuba diving, it attracts volumes of fish and boasts coral-covered structures, offering a captivating experience for wreck enthusiasts.

3 Rocks (Tres Rocas)

Tropical Garden

Blue Lagoon Caverns
