カボ・デ・ガタは、季節によって異なる特徴を持つが、年間を通して素晴らしいダイビングコンディションを提供する。水温は14°C～24°C/57°F～75°Fで、夏にピークを迎え、冬は下がる。視界は通常良好で、15～30m（49～98フィート）だが、気象条件によって変動することもある。 ダイビングは一年中可能だが、ベストコンディションは晩春から初秋にかけて。冬場は風と潮流が強くなり、透明度やダイビングのコンディションに影響を与えるため、ダイビングには不向きな時期となる。とはいえ、経験豊富なダイバーであれば、気温の低い時期でもユニークな水中景観や海洋生物を楽しむことができる。
