ハミルトン島はグレートバリアリーフの中にあり、ダイビングが素晴らしいことは言うまでもない。 クイーンズランド州の沖合に位置し、セルリアンに輝く有名な海には、豊かな海洋生物と豊富なサンゴ礁が隠されている。

Top Hamilton Island Dive Sites
1. Gary’s Lagoon
A sheltered lagoon ideal for novice scuba divers, with vibrant coral cover and gentle conditions. Deeper water at the entrance suits more experienced divers. Expect reef fish, soft corals, and calm surroundings. Perfect for easy, scenic exploration.
2. Stepping Stones
Advanced scuba divers will enjoy exploring over 18 flat-topped coral bommies connected by caves and channels. Visibility often exceeds 30m. Strong currents may occur, and large Maori wrasse, parrotfish, and healthy coral formations are common.
3. Manta Ray Drop Off
This dramatic wall dive plunges to 36m and attracts manta rays in winter. Year-round sightings include reef sharks and pelagic fish. For advanced scuba divers, this site offers thrilling encounters and a colorful coral-covered cliff.
4. Bait Reef
Located on the Outer Reef, this diverse site suits all scuba experience levels. Spot green turtles, schools of baitfish, squid, and macro critters like nudibranchs. The seagrass is a muck diving hotspot. Humpback whale songs can often be heard in season.
5. Hardy Reef Garden
Accessible and shallow, this site is ideal for both scuba and freediving. Coral gardens host anemonefish, butterflyfish, and giant clams. Calm, clear waters and the site's location in a protected marine zone make it perfect for relaxed exploration.
ハミルトン島でのダイビングに最適な月
ハミルトン島のダイビングは、熱帯性気候のため、年間を通して素晴らしい。夏期（11月～4月）の日中の気温は20℃を超え、水温もそれに匹敵する。雨季は1月から4月までだが、主に短時間の激しい雷雨に見舞われる。この時期はハコクラゲに注意し、水中では保護具を着用すること。
冬は、AIRも水温も20度半ばとなり、過ごしやすくなる。最も乾燥した季節であり、最高の透明度（時には40m以上）をもたらす。ミンククジラとザトウクジラのシーズンは6月から11月で、ダイバーが目撃することはめったにないが、彼らの耳をつんざくような歌声を聞くことができるかもしれない。
