Open Water Diver
このプログラムは、国際的に認知された認定証を授与するもので、認定ダイバーとしての冒険を始めるのに理想的な方法である。一人ひとりに合わせたトレーニングと実践的な水中セッションを組み合わせることで、水中で快適にダイビングするために必要なスキルと経験を確実に身につけることができる。SSIオープン・ウォーター・ダイバー資格を取得する。

エクプローレ・メキシコシティ
メキシコシティはメキシコの首都であり、国の中央に位置している。内陸にあるが、主要な空港があり、西海岸や東海岸のスクーバダイビングの目的地へは飛行機ですぐに行くことができる。太平洋に面した東海岸では、サン・カルロス、プンタ・ミタ、プエルト・バジャルタ、マンサニージョ、ジワタネホ、アカプルコ、ワトゥルコなどが人気スポットだ。東海岸の沖合には、ホホジロザメのケージダイビングで人気のダイビングスポット、ソコロ諸島とグアダルーペがある。メキシコ湾とカリブ海に面したメキシコ西海岸には、ベラクルスや、カンクン、プラヤ・デル・カルメン、トゥルムといったユカタン半島の都市がある。コスメル島やイスラ・ムヘーレスのような沖合の島々にも多くのダイバーが集まる。
メキシコシティには、認定コースを提供しているダイブショップが数少ない。認定コースでは、座学と限定水域でのダイビングはショップで行い、オープンウォーターダイブは沿岸のダイビングスポットのいずれかで行う。

メキシコシティでのダイビングに最適な月
ダイビングに最適な時間は、ダイバーが何を経験したいかによって決まる。ビギナーダイバーは、通常冬に行われる穏やかな海のコンディションを楽しむことができるだろう。クジラやサメのような外洋性の巨大生物を見たくてうずうずしているダイバーは、冷たい海に引き寄せられるので、冬の時期を狙うべきだ。薄手のウェットスーツか、ウェットスーツなしのダイビングを好むダイバーは、夏場を狙うべきだ。透明度を重視するダイバーは、プランクトンの発生が少ない夏場を狙うべきである。最後に、セノーテでのダイビングが主な目標であれば、ユカタン半島のベストシーズンは5月から9月だ。水温の範囲は、ダイビングをする海岸沿いの場所、どの水域にいるか、岸からどのくらい離れているかによって異なる。この地域のハリケーンシーズンは夏の終わりから秋の初めにかけてで、ダイビング旅行に深刻な影響を与える可能性があることを覚えておこう！

Top Mexico City Dive Sites
Las Marietas Islands (Nayarit)
This protected marine sanctuary offers easy to intermediate scuba and freediving. Divers can explore rich biodiversity including nudibranchs, sea fans, corals, and tropical reef fish. Hidden beaches, caves, and clear waters make it a visually striking experience.
Arrecife Alacranes (Yucatán)
Located in a remote biosphere reserve, this reef system hosts reef and pelagic species like barracuda, groupers, and snappers. It’s ideal for intermediate to advanced scuba divers seeking pristine coral and quiet waters away from the crowds.
Isla San Agustin (Huatulco, Oaxaca)
Best for intermediate-level scuba diving, this site features caves, crevices, and swim-throughs. Divers encounter tropical fish, rays, and turtles among rugged rock formations. The calm bay makes it great for relaxed exploration with geological interest.
Roca Partida (Revillagigedo Islands)
A technical and advanced scuba site, Roca Partida is famed for its steep walls and large pelagic life. Expect encounters with hammerheads, manta rays, whale sharks, and tuna. Remote and only accessible by liveaboard, it’s a world-class dive adventure.
Los Morros de Potosí (Guerrero)
With dramatic granite outcrops above and below the water, this site is perfect for easy to moderate scuba and freediving. Common sightings include sea turtles, reef fish, and moray eels. Swim-throughs and caves add an exciting geological element to the dive.
