1. HTMS Chang – Koh Chang

Thailand’s largest shipwreck, the HTMS Chang rests at about 30m and is home to barracudas, batfish, and giant groupers. This advanced scuba dive is perfect for wreck enthusiasts and is considered a highlight in the Koh Chang area.

2. Richelieu Rock – Surin Islands

One of Thailand’s most iconic dive sites, Richelieu Rock teems with vibrant soft corals, whale sharks, cuttlefish, and harlequin shrimp. It’s an advanced scuba dive due to strong currents, and lies in a protected marine zone of the Surin Islands.

3. Koh Phayam Reefs – Freediving-friendly

Shallow fringing reefs around Koh Phayam offer sightings of nudibranchs, stingrays, and schooling reef fish. Suitable for easy scuba and freediving, the calm waters and coral bommies make it ideal for relaxed, scenic underwater exploration.

4. Western Rocky – Mergui Archipelago (Myanmar)

A standout in the Mergui Archipelago, this advanced scuba site features a tunnel through the island, vibrant coral walls, and marine life like frogfish, lobsters, and reef sharks. This remote site is typically reached via liveaboard.

5. Koh Ra – Andaman Coast – Freediving-friendly
