サンダカンを探索
サンダカンは、マレーシアのボルネオ島サバ州の北東海岸に位置する沿岸都市です。コタキナバルに次ぐサバ州で2番目に大きな都市であり、マレーシアの素晴らしいダイビングエリアへの玄関口です。ここには陸上でできる多くのエコツーリズム活動がありますが、海岸からの直接のダイビングはなく、サンダカンから訪れる主要なダイビングエリアは、海岸からボートで90分の場所にあるランカヤン島です。ダイバーが繁栄する水中世界を探索しながら、人里離れた隠れ家を探しているなら、ここが最適な場所です。

1. Mosquito Wreck
Home to potential sightings of manta rays and schools of barracuda and jacks, Mosquito Wreck is a Japanese World War II wreck with a bow gun. This site is suitable for advanced scuba divers, offering a thrilling wreck dive experience.
2. Goby Rock
Featuring sandy bottoms with gobies, shrimp, and blue-spotted stingrays, Goby Rock also has coral pinnacles with nudibranchs and reef fish. Suitable for both scuba and freediving, it is an easy to intermediate site.
3. Jawfish Lair
Jawfish Lair is known for its sandy terrain where jawfish reside. Suitable for easy scuba diving, this site allows divers to observe these interesting creatures in their natural habitat.
4. Jetty Wreck
Jetty Wreck offers a glimpse of wreck diving in easy conditions, with small wrecks and artificial reefs attracting a variety of fish. This site is suitable for beginner to intermediate scuba divers.
5. Lankayan Wreck
Lankayan Wreck is an advanced dive site with a fascinating artificial reef thriving with marine life. Scuba divers can enjoy a multitude of fish species and occasional turtle sightings around the wreck.
サンダカンでのダイビングのベストシーズン
乾季と雨季の2つの季節があり、気温と水温は一年を通して暖かいため、主な違いは降水量です。気温は27度から31度の間で、水温は26度から30度の間で推移します。海況は概ね穏やかです。
最も強い風は12月から2月にかけて吹きます。透明度は平均で20メートルですが、3月から10月の間は最高で50メートルに達することもあり、この時期が当地でのダイビングに最適です。4月と5月は、ジンベイザメに出会える可能性のある月です。
