タハアをエクスプローラーする

タハア（Taha'a）は、フランス領ポリネシアのソサエティ諸島に属するリーワード諸島の一つである。タハア島は、同じサンゴ礁に囲まれた近くのライアテア島とよく一緒にされる。面積90平方キロメートル、花の形をしたこの島の人口は約5,000人で、真珠とバニラの輸出で知られている！

タハア島でのダイビングは人気があり、青々としたサンゴ礁に囲まれている。高級ダイブリゾートや最低限のダイブセンターが多数あるが、ルーティアという小さな町にも1軒ある。海水が穏やかで温かく、透明度が高いので、ダイビング初心者コースに人気の場所だ。ライブボートはフランス領ポリネシアの島々を潜るのによく利用され、タヒチからも何隻かのボートがタハアに寄港している。

Top Tahaa Dive Sites

1. The Nordby

The Nordby, sunk in 1990, is a 60m long, three-masted shipwreck at 29m depth. Dive here to explore its intact hull, rigging, and masts teeming with surgeonfish, stonefish, lionfish, jacks, and angelfish. It's an advanced scuba dive, particularly impressive at night.

2. Octopus Hole

Located inside the lagoon, this cave dive features an entrance at 24m with stalactites. Abundant macro life and elusive octopuses make it fascinating. Recommended for advanced and rescue divers, scuba only. The cave's unique formations enhance the adventure.

3. The Mounts of Ceran

This deep drift dive ranges from 35-50m and is ideal for experienced scuba divers. Spot surgeonfish, barracuda, rays, whitetips, and more around two striking pinnacles. The rich marine life and drift currents offer an exhilarating underwater experience.

4. Tautau

Known for calm waters and visibility up to 50m, Tautau is perfect for both scuba and freediving. Discover dense banks of barracuda, swordfish, tuna, and lemon sharks. Its tranquility and clear waters make it a favorite for divers seeking vibrant marine life.

5. Coral Gardens

Ideal for both scuba and freediving, Coral Gardens offers an easy dive with vibrant coral formations. Encounter a diversity of tropical fish, including parrotfish and butterflyfish. This site is a lush underwater garden providing a serene diving experience.

タハアでのダイビングのベストシーズン

タハアは温暖な熱帯気候のため、一年中ダイビングが可能である。雨季は11月から2月までで、特に午前中は雨量が増える。この時期は一年で最も暖かく、水温・気温ともに平均29℃に達する。

乾季は5月から10月までである。降雨量は少なく、気候が冷え込むため、空気も水温も26℃前後となる。水の透明度は一年中良好で、平均視界は30メートル前後である。ラグーン内の潮流は通常穏やかだが、チャネルや峠、アウターリーフでは激しい潮流になることもある。7月から11月にかけてはホエールウォッチングのベストシーズンである。
