La Nuova Britannia è una delle isole della regione insulare di Papua Nuova Guinea. Il verde lussureggiante della terraferma è un bellissimo contrasto con le acque turchesi. Queste acque sono ricche di una vasta gamma di diversi tipi di immersioni che sono destinate a entusiasmare i subacquei di tutti gli interessi. Le acque calde e limpide ospitano un assortimento di relitti, grandi montagne vulcaniche, scogliere fiorenti e pareti scoscese. Le principali città da cui si effettuano le immersioni sono Rabaul e Kimbe, mentre altre destinazioni popolari sono Witu Island e Fathers Reef. I subacquei possono esplorare queste acque prenotando presso i centri di immersione e i resort subacquei locali o imbarcandosi su una barca liveaboard.
