One of the most legendary wreck dives in the world, the SS Thistlegorm is much more than a dive site — it is a real underwater museum frozen in time. Sunk in October 1941 during World War II after a German air attack, this British cargo ship was carrying military supplies including trucks, motorcycles, rifles, locomotives and aircraft parts destined for Allied troops in Egypt. Today, resting at around 30 meters depth in the Strait of Gubal, it remains one of the most iconic dives of the Red Sea.
Our Thistlegorm excursion is organized as a full-day trip with very early morning departure, twice per week, in order to reach the wreck before the busiest traffic and enjoy the best possible diving conditions.
