ヒンムアンをエクスプローラーする

ランタ島から2時間、ピピ諸島から1時間50分のヒンムアンとヒンデーンは、エキサイティングな海洋生物の宝庫である2つの水中ピナクルである。互いに500メートルしか離れていないため、日帰り旅行の一環として一緒にダイビングすることも多いこの2つのポイントは、この地域を訪れる幸運なダイバーにとって欠かせない場所だ。

ヒンムアンは、ムーランタ国立海洋公園内のアンダマン海にある岩の尾根である。最大深度70m下、強い潮流があるため、経験豊富なダイバーに向いているスポットだ。この海流は栄養豊富で、マンタやジンベエザメなどの大物を引き寄せるが、たとえマンタが現れなかったとしても、ここは計り知れない数の生き生きとした海洋生物が生息する非常に美しい場所である。

プーケット、ランタ島、クラビ、ピピ諸島を拠点とするオペレーターなど、多くのダイブセンターやダイブリゾートが、ヒンムアンやその姉妹島であるヒンデーンへのダイビングツアーを提供している。ダイブクルーズのサファリツアーにもこれらのダイブサイトが含まれており、シミラン諸島やリチェリューロックを含むタイ西海岸をカバーするツアーと、ピピ諸島やハー島などタイ南部に焦点を当てた短いツアーを選ぶことができる。

Top Hin Muang Dive Sites

1. Hin Muang

Hin Muang, or “Purple Rock,” is blanketed with soft purple corals and offers encounters with barracuda, giant trevally, and occasionally whale sharks and manta rays. It is an advanced scuba diving site due to strong currents and depths exceeding 30m. The site features dramatic vertical walls and is part of a marine protected area.

2. Hin Daeng

Located near Hin Muang, Hin Daeng is one of Thailand’s deepest sites and offers advanced scuba diving. Divers often see reef sharks, schools of snappers, and pelagic species like manta rays. The site is famous for its steep drop-offs and large anemone fields, and it lies within a protected zone.

3. Koh Haa Lagoon – Freediving possible

This sheltered site features clear, calm waters and an easy reef slope with moray eels, clownfish, and lionfish. It is suitable for easy scuba and freediving, especially for beginners. Koh Haa Lagoon also offers night diving and is part of the Koh Lanta National Marine Park.

4. Koh Bida Nok

Just south of Phi Phi Islands, this site is ideal for intermediate scuba divers and is teeming with leopard sharks, cuttlefish, and colorful reef fish. The underwater terrain includes walls, caverns, and sandy slopes, making it diverse and visually engaging.

5. Koh Haa Cathedral

A dramatic cavern system and swim-through highlight this intermediate-level scuba site. Divers can spot nudibranchs, stingrays, and groupers within the cathedral-like chambers. The calm conditions also make it a training ground for deep and specialty dives.

ヒンムアンでのダイビングに最適な月

ヒンムアンでのダイビングは一年中可能で、水温は平均27～30℃と暖かい。ここでのダイビングのベストシーズンは、天候と海のコンディションが安定する11月から4月の間である。

5月から10月の雨季は、穏やかな日もあるが、海が荒れることが多い。視界は通年良好で、20～30mの間で変動する。

マンタやジンベエザメに遭遇する確率を最も高くするには、水面のコンディションが穏やかになる2月から4月の間に現地に向かうこと。
