アドリア海に面するマルケ州は、イタリアの中でも辺境の地である。マルケ州のスクーバダイビングはコネロ海岸沿いで行われ、ダイバーがアドリア海の水面を越えて沈むと、深みから船の跡や石灰岩の海景が現れる。マルケ州の郊外では、掘削プラットフォームが人工リーフとして再生したユニークなダイビングスポットもある。
マクロマニアは、鮮やかなウミウシやデコラガニをカメラに収め、石灰岩の割れ目や裂け目は、タコ、アナゴ、ロブスターの絶好の隠れ家となる。黒いカサゴは沈船の金属体の中に隠れ、シーバスやカンパチの大群が次の獲物を求めて熱心に巡回している。
マルケ州のダイビングは、海岸沿いの町ヌマーナやその他のダイビングセンターで行われる。さらに内陸の中世の町ジェシには、フリーダイビングとスクーバダイビングのコースを開催するダイビングセンターがあり、海岸に近いダイビングセンターでもダイビングコースが開催されている。

マルケ州でのダイビングのベストシーズン
マルケ州のダイビングは、一年を通して様々な体験ができる。夏の間、水温は22℃から26℃で、暖かく快適なコンディションとなる。視界は一般的に良好で、20mを超えることも多く、ダイバーにとって理想的な時期である。しかし、この地方は強い海風に見舞われることがあり、水面のコンディションに影響を与えることがある。
一方、冬期は水温が12℃～16℃まで下がり、冬の嵐や沈殿物の増加により、視界が10～15mまで低下することがある。12月から2月にかけては、海が荒れたり、寒くなったりするため、ダイビングには不利な条件となるが、このような難題にもかかわらず、ダイビングは一年中可能である。

1. Paguro Platform Wreck

Divers can enjoy a variety of marine life, such as starfish, oysters, mussels, and schools of sea bream. The wreck's shallow depth allows for enjoyable exploration.
3. The Beam
This dive site outside Ancona features walls and rocky substrates descending to 14 meters. It's an easy dive, perfect for both scuba and freediving. Marine life includes conger eels, octopuses, and schools of seabass. The site's natural formations create a unique diving environment.
4. Portonovo Bay
Located near Ancona, Portonovo Bay offers beautiful underwater landscapes and diverse flora and fauna. It's an easy dive suitable for both scuba and freediving. Divers can expect to see different species of fish and enjoy the rich plant life. The area is known for its ecological significance.
5. Monte Conero
This site near Ancona features steep underwater cliffs and thriving marine ecosystems. It's an advanced dive, best suited for experienced scuba divers. Marine life includes barracuda and groupers. The area is a marine park, protecting its rich biodiversity and geological formations.
