エクスプローラー（オアハカ
オアハカはメキシコの31州の一つで、太平洋に面した南海岸に位置する。サーフィンのホットスポットであるプエルト・エスコンディードや、9つの小さな湾と36のビーチからなるワトゥルコ（旧名バヒアス・デ・ワトゥルコ）など、海岸沿いの人気観光地がある。ワトゥルコのこれらの湾のうち5つは国立公園（Parque Nacional Huatulco）の一部として保護されており、活気ある海洋生態系を支えている。ワトゥルコが人気のスクーバ・ダイビング・デスティネーションである理由のひとつもここにある。
太平洋のこの地域では、スクーバダイビングは1年中楽しめるが、1年で最も海況が穏やかな11月から5月がベストシーズンである。ウミガメ、ウツボ、熱帯魚、タコ、二枚貝、甲殻類、腹足類など、外洋性の生物も多く見られる。

オアハカでのダイビングに最適な月
オアハカのダイビングコンディションは、一般的に年間を通じて良好で、水温は25～29℃/77～84.2°Fである。乾季の11月から5月にかけては、透明度が高くなり、最高30mに達することもあり、ダイビング愛好家にとって理想的な時期である。しかし、6月から10月にかけての雨季は、潮の流れが激しくなり、ダイビングに影響を与えることがある。ダイビングは1年を通して可能だが、この時期は熱帯低気圧や強風が吹き荒れ、安全性や透明度に影響が出るため、ダイバーは注意が必要だ。
