ペンバ島をエクスプローラーする
ザンジバル諸島に位置するペンバ島は、水中での特別な冒険を求めるダイバーにとってパラダイスである。手つかずのサンゴ礁で知られるこの島では、他では味わえないダイビングを体験できる。ペンバ周辺の海には、遊び好きなイルカやネムリブカ、雄大なエイやカラフルな魚の群れなど、多様な海洋生物が生息している。水上の青々とした景色は水中でも美しく映し出され、見事なサンゴの造形と活気あふれる海洋生態系はダイビングをするすべての人を魅了する。
ペンバ島でのダイビングは、主にライブボードから行われ、特に島の西部と南部の人里離れた、あまり探検されていないポイントへのアクセスを提供する。しかし、よりリラックスしたペースで探検したい人のためのショアダイブも用意されている。島にはドラマチックなウォールやドリフトダイブがあり、冒険好きなダイバーにスリリングな体験を提供している。季節によってはウミガメやクジラに遭遇することもある。水温は年間を通して平均26℃、透明度は最大40mに達し、息をのむような水中写真を撮ったり、水中景観を探検したりするのに理想的なコンディションだ。月明かりに照らされた海では、さまざまな海洋生物を見ることができる。

Top Pemba Island Dive Sites
Njao Gap
Njao Gap features vibrant coral gardens and is home to sea turtles, groupers, and colorful reef fish. It offers easy to advanced scuba diving experiences. The site is known for its stunning underwater topography and is a part of the Pemba Channel Conservation Area.
Shimba Wall
Shimba Wall attracts divers with its dramatic drop-offs and currents, hosting schools of barracuda, tuna, and Napoleon wrasse. This site is suitable for advanced scuba divers. It features breathtaking underwater cliffs and is located within a marine conservation zone.
Fundu Gap
Fundu Gap offers rich biodiversity, including eagle rays, moray eels, and vibrant corals. Both scuba and freediving are possible here, catering to advanced and technical divers. The site's special features include strong currents and a variety of sponge-covered walls.
Mesali Island
Mesali Island is known for its pristine coral gardens, home to angelfish, parrotfish, and occasional dolphins. The area supports easy to moderate scuba diving and freediving. It is part of a protected marine reserve, emphasizing ecological preservation.
Swiss Reef
Swiss Reef boasts an array of hard and soft corals, with sightings of manta rays and lionfish. This site is ideal for both advanced scuba divers and freediving enthusiasts. Unique underwater formations and vibrant marine life make it a must-visit spot.
ペンバ島でのダイビングに最適な月
ペンバ島は年間を通してダイビングに最適なコンディションで、水温は26℃～30℃である。視界は通常20～40メートルで、生き生きとした海洋生物やサンゴの造形をはっきりと見ることができる。赤道近くに位置するこの島は、年間を通して天候が安定している。
ただし、4月から5月にかけてのモンスーンシーズンは、風と潮流が強まるため、ダイビングにはやや不向きである。にもかかわらず、ダイビングは一年中可能で、11月から3月までは海も穏やかで、最適なコンディションとなり、ペンバ島への旅行を計画しているダイバーにとって理想的である。
