Lake Engolasters

Estany de Juclà

One of Andorra’s largest natural lakes, set in a protected alpine environment. Divers encounter sparse fish life and aquatic plants among boulders. Advanced level due to remote access and altitude. Scuba diving only. Pristine mountain scenery adds to the appeal.

Estany de l’Illa

A scenic glacial lake with cold, clear waters and rocky drop-offs. Limited but visible freshwater species inhabit the shallows. Best for experienced altitude divers. Scuba and freediving possible in calm conditions. Remote hiking access enhances its adventurous character.

La Llosa Reservoir

A quiet mountain site used for controlled training dives. Expect small fish, algae growth, and gradual depth changes. Easy to intermediate level. Scuba diving only. Calm conditions make it suitable for altitude certification practice.

A group of glacial lakes known for excellent visibility in late summer. Minimal fauna, mainly trout and small invertebrates. Advanced recreational diving due to altitude and cold temperatures. Scuba diving recommended in this ecologically sensitive alpine zone.
