나우루를 탐험하세요
나우루에는 다이빙 센터가 몇 군데 있지만, 아주 많지는 않아서 붐비지 않는 다이빙 포인트를 혼자서 만끽할 수 있습니다. 나우루는 태평양의 유명한 섬들과 가까워, 리브어보드 크루즈를 타고 섬들을 둘러보는 여행도 가능합니다.
나우루는 마치 나무에서 튀어나온 못처럼 해저 약 500미터 깊이에 자리 잡은 산호 군락입니다. 주변에는 평평한 조석 암초가 펼쳐져 있고, 그 아래로는 갑자기 깊어지면서 육지와 태평양 심해의 경계를 이룹니다. 이러한 수중 경관은 끝없이 이어지는 절벽이 푸른 심해로 떨어지는 숨 막히는 월 다이빙을 선사합니다. 특히 나우루 서쪽, 보트 항구와 캔틸레버스 주변은 이러한 아찔한 절벽으로 유명합니다. 따뜻하고 맑은 바닷물 덕분에 수심 모니터링이 매우 중요한데, 40미터 깊이에서도 수면이 마치 대낮처럼 선명하게 보이기 때문입니다.
