리몬은 코스타리카 동부 해안, 카리브해 연안에 위치한 주입니다. 비교적 덜 알려진 이 해안 지역은 다이버들에게 북적이는 인파를 피해 아름다운 산호초와 풍부한 해양 생물을 탐험할 수 있는 최적의 장소입니다. 리몬 주 대부분은 국립공원으로 지정되어 있어 다양한 다이빙 포인트를 탐험할 수 있으며, 덕분에 수중 환경은 매우 깨끗하고 청정합니다. 따뜻하고 맑은 바닷물과 뛰어난 시야는 다이버들에게 천국과 같은 다이빙 경험을 선사합니다. 이곳에는 다이빙 센터와 리조트가 많지 않지만, 충분히 탐험할 만한 가치가 있는 곳입니다.
이곳은 연중 온화한 기후 덕분에 수온이 따뜻하고 시야가 좋습니다. 수온은 10월부터 1월까지 이어지는 우기에는 25°C(77°F) 정도이고, 건기에는 최대 29°C(84°F)까지 올라갑니다. 우기에는 물속 영양분이 풍부해져 대형 원양어종이 많이 모여듭니다. 이곳의 주요 볼거리로는 난파선, 길게 펼쳐진 아름다운 산호초, 그리고 다양한 대형 해양 생물들을 감상할 수 있다는 점입니다.

리몬에서 다이빙하기 가장 좋은 달
코스타리카 카리브해 연안에 위치한 리몬은 연중 다이빙을 즐길 수 있는 곳이지만, 조건은 계절에 따라 다릅니다. 수온은 26°C~29°C(79°F~84°F)로 다이버들에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공합니다. 시야는 일반적으로 10~30m(33~98피트)이며, 계절 변화와 기상 조건에 따라 달라집니다.
12월부터 4월까지의 건기는 일반적으로 잔잔한 바다와 맑은 물로 최고의 다이빙 조건을 제공합니다. 하지만 5월부터 11월까지의 우기는 강우량 증가와 지표수 유출로 인해 시야가 좁아지고 해류가 강해져 다이빙 환경에 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 다이빙은 연중 내내 가능하며, 날씨를 고려하여 계획을 세우면 더욱 즐거운 경험을 할 수 있습니다.
