The Black Anchor Scuba Diving & Snorkeling was founded in 2013 by Mariana Uriel, the first woman in Puerto Rico to establish a dive center on her own. With the idea of changing the perspective of diving in Puerto Rico by making it a sport accessible to all, providing safe and exciting underwater adventures and scuba diving courses at all levels, from entry level to professional. The Black Anchor offers a range of scuba diving courses, from introductory sessions for beginners to advanced certification programs. It is a great way to explore the underwater world more fully as you try diving •Scuba Skill Update: we will get you back in the water and dive very ease in no time. If you want to further your career as a dive professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Evaluation, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor •Specialty Instructor Seminar: Continue your diving education as an instructor by enrolling in a Specialty Instructor Seminar for each of the diving specialties you would like to teach. Alternatively, you can co-teach the specialty you are interested in with an experienced Specialty Instructor or request a Verification Application of your experience and send it directly to SSI. Teach more specialties to automatically earn the Advanced Open Water Instructor certification. •Assistant Instructor Trainer: Assistant Instructor Trainers prepare Assistant Instructors to teach academics and conduct in-water training. Deze site is het overblijfsel van een oude pier. Het is een ondiepe duik, niet meer dan 30-35 voet diepte met een zandbodem. Het wrak op de bodem biedt een kunstmatig rif voor een grote verscheidenheid aan zeeleven. Het zicht varieert van 10 voet (als het geregend heeft) tot meer dan 50 of 60 voet.
Dit is een natuurlijk rifgebied dat zich in de diepte uitstrekt van 30 voet tot ongeveer 70-80 voet, met een geleidelijke afdaling. De kustlijn is rotsachtig, dus je moet voorzichtig zijn waar je stapt, maar de duik is een mooie plezierduik. Het zicht kan variëren van 15 voet tot meer dan 50 of 60 voet.
De MV Ambar is een wrak dat alleen toegankelijk is per boot en een maximale diepte van 160 voet bereikt. Vanwege de extreme diepte van dit wrak is deze site alleen voor deskundige duikers met de juiste training en uitrusting voor decompressiestops. Het zicht is meestal uitstekend en duikers kunnen lichte tot matige stromingen in het gebied ervaren.
Dit is een ondiepe oever- of bootduik op de overblijfselen van een oude suikerplantpier. De bodem is zanderig en vol met pierwrakstukken met een maximale diepte van 40 voet. Het zicht is meestal erg goed en er staat normaal gesproken geen sterke stroming in het gebied.
DPV duik...60 ft/18m...1/2 mijl van de kust, mogelijke vondst van artefacten. Veel verschillende kleine vrachtwrakken uit begin 1900 en oude Spaanse verdedigingsbatterij en vele invasies van Engelsen, Nederlanders en Fransen werden verdedigd door het Spaanse leger in 1600...
Het is een diepe duik van 127 voet/38m, alleen vanaf een boot, je hebt nitrox nodig om ervan te kunnen genieten. Het is een vliegtuig uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, er is niet veel te zien, alleen een paar motoronderdelen en wat fuselboog.
Je hebt alles in deze duik van rif, wrak. Je kunt alleen met de boot gaan, je hebt shalow duiken, muur duiken en rif duiken. Diep van 20 tot 200 meter.
Dit is een ondiepe kantduik met een zanderige/rode bodem en natuurlijk vormende bogen. Er zijn een aantal oude ankers te vinden in het gebied, en de bodem is perfect voor lessen en het oefenen van drijfvermogenscontrole. Het zeeleven zal voornamelijk bestaan uit kleine tropische vissen, waarbij af en toe een schildpad of rog voorbij zwemt.
Het ligt op een diepte van 0 tot 40 voet, het is bereikbaar vanaf de kant, de bodem is zanderig, om te genieten van wat het heeft, is het aanbevolen om nitrox te gebruiken, zodat u langer op diepte kunt blijven. Perfect voor nachtduiken.
