Verken Bangka-Belitung Eilanden
Voor de oostkust van Sumatra liggen de Bangka Belitung eilanden. De Bangka en Belitung eilanden staan bekend om hun grote granieten rotsblokken waarin kleine riffen zijn gehuisvest en zijn een van de meest ongerepte Indonesische duikplekken. De schilderachtige duikstekken hebben dikke koraaltapijten en behoren tot de beste omstandigheden om driftduiken in volle kracht te ervaren. Omdat Bangka Belitung afgelegen en relatief onontwikkeld is, zijn er maar een paar duikcentra en duikresorts. Om het meeste uit het duiken op deze eilanden te halen, kun je het beste aan boord gaan van een liveaboard, die naar duikstekken verder weg kan varen.
