Dit is het geval in de Caribische Zee, waar de watertemperaturen variëren tussen 24°C en 29°C met een tropisch moessonklimaat met een nat en een droog seizoen. Februari tot mei is het droge seizoen en maart tot juni is de beste tijd om te gaan duiken in Belize vanwege het warme water, het aangename klimaat en omdat er in juni de meeste grote zeedieren te zien zijn.
