Het kleine stadje Cahuita ligt aan de oostkust van Costa Rica, in de provincie Limon, aan de Caribische Zee. Dit is een ontspannende, tropische bestemming voor reizigers en duikers. De beste Maanden om te duiken in Cahuita
Het regenseizoen van Costa Rica loopt van oktober tot januari, en de toename van voedingsstoffen in het water kan het zicht verminderen, maar het trekt grotere pelagische soorten aan, bonus! Het droge seizoen loopt van februari tot september, met een fantastisch zicht van 25 meter plus en kalme, ideale omstandigheden. Dit is ook de beste tijd voor een grotere overvloed aan kleiner zeeleven. De gemiddelde watertemperatuur is het hele jaar door 28°C.
