Donsol verkennen
In het zuidoosten van Luzon, een eiland van de Filippijnen, ligt de landelijke kustplaats Donsol, beroemd om het grote aantal walvishaaien die je er tijdens het duiken kunt zien. De gevarieerde wateren van Donsol liggen in de Bicol-regio en bevatten ongerepte riffen, geschikt voor beginnende duikers, waar kikkervissen en mandarijnvissen goed gedijen. Ervaren duikers kunnen een wilde rit verwachten op sommige duikstekken waar het elke vin waard is om mantaroggen, voshaaien en hamerhaaien op dezelfde plek te zien!
Duiken in Donsol is mogelijk vanuit het handjevol duikresorts en duikcentra in het gebied. Veel van deze duikorganisaties bieden het volledige scala aan duikcursussen en als je langer wilt duiken in de Bicol-regio, zijn er liveaboards beschikbaar.
