Het Osa schiereiland is een schiereiland aan de zuidwestkust van Costa Rica, in de provincie Puntaneras, en grenst dus aan de Stille Oceaan. Dit is een van de meer onontdekte gebieden van Costa Rica en een van de gebieden met de hoogste biodiversiteit, dus een ideale plek voor prachtige en ontspannen duiken ver weg van de drukte. Als je vanaf Osa Peninsula duikt, vinden de duiken meestal plaats vanuit Drake Bay of rond Caño Island. Beide locaties staan bekend om de grote overvloed aan zeedieren, het ongerepte water, de bloeiende riffen en de spannende topografie.

Devil's Pinnacle

De beste maanden om te duiken op het schiereiland Osa
Dit gebied is tropisch, wat betekent dat je er het hele jaar door kunt duiken. De watertemperatuur varieert van 24°C/75°F in het regenseizoen, dat loopt van mei tot november, tot 28°C/82°F in het droge seizoen. Het zicht varieert van 10 meter tot 30 meter aan de kust.
Bultrugwalvissen migreren hier van januari tot maart.
