Explorers Oaxaca
Oaxaca è uno dei 31 stati del Messico e si trova sulla costa meridionale, di fronte all'Oceano Pacifico. Qui si trovano famose destinazioni turistiche costiere come Puerto Escondido, un hotspot per il surf, e Huatulco (precedentemente Bahías de Huatulco), una regione composta da 9 piccole baie e 36 spiagge. Cinque di queste baie di Huatulco sono protette come parte di un Parco Nazionale (Parque Nacional Huatulco), che supporta il vivace ecosistema marino. Questo è uno dei motivi per cui Huatulco è anche una popolare destinazione per le immersioni subacquee.
Sebbene le immersioni subacquee siano possibili tutto l'anno in questa regione dell'Oceano Pacifico, il periodo migliore va da novembre a maggio, quando le condizioni dell'oceano sono più calme. In questo periodo i subacquei hanno la possibilità di vedere specie pelagiche al largo di Huatulco, ma anche specie non pelagiche, come tartarughe marine, murene, pesci tropicali, polpi, bivalvi, crostacei e gasteropodi.
