Top Phillip Island Dive Sites
1. George Kermode Wreck
Located in Cunningham Bay, this upside-down wreck lies between 12–20m and is considered Victoria’s best wreck dive. Experienced divers can explore tight passageways and a hull encrusted with marine growth, though visibility is often limited.
2. Kitty Miller Bay
This shore-access site offers a protected reef to the west, ideal for beginners and snorkelers. To the east, more advanced divers can tackle swellier waters. Expect kelp beds, reef fish, and macro species in a calm bay setting.
3. The Pinnacle
A dramatic site with vertical spires, deep ravines, and overhangs, suited for advanced divers. Strong currents are common. Marine life includes Port Jackson sharks, trevally, tuna, and vibrant sponge growth along rock walls.
4. Seal Rocks
Dive alongside playful Australian fur seals in shallow, sheltered waters ideal for all levels, including freedivers. These curious creatures offer a close-up wildlife experience, often circling divers in groups. Great for underwater photography.
5. Pyramid Rock
Accessible by boat, this offshore reef features sloping drop-offs, colourful sponges, and occasional sightings of large pelagics like kingfish. Suitable for intermediate divers, the site offers strong surge and changing conditions
