The SSI Open Water Diver course is
the most popular entry-level certification, designed to take you from a complete beginner to a globally recognized autonomous diver
Unlike some other programs, SSI is known for its Flexible teaching approach,
allowing instructors to adapt the order of skills based on your personal comfort and pace.

Key Requirements
- Minimum Age : 10 years old (10-14 year olds receive a "Junior Open Water" certification).
- Swimming Ability : You must be able to swim 200 meters (or 300m with mask/fins/snorkel) and float/tread water for 10 minutes .
- Physical Health : A medical questionnaire is required to ensure you are fit to dive.
