Melbournesta lounaaseen Victorian osavaltiossa sijaitseva Geelong jakaa suuren osan samasta sukellusalueesta kuin Mornington Peninsula. 1. The Coogee Wreck
Sitting at a depth of 34 metres, The Coogee wreck is an advanced scuba dive. The bow and stern remain intact, creating exciting swim-throughs. Expect to encounter schools of fish sheltering among the encrusted wreckage and occasional crayfish.
2. The Gambier Wreck
Ideal for beginners and all levels of scuba divers, this wreck rests at 13 metres. The structure is easily accessible and home to a variety of reef fish, octopus, and nudibranch, making it a great introduction to wreck diving.
3. Boarfish Reef
A vibrant reef dive with caves, drop-offs, and overhangs. Suitable for intermediate scuba divers, it’s teeming with blue devilfish, leatherjackets, and crayfish. Its structure and diversity also appeal to macro photographers.
4. Kelp Beds Drift
Perfect for thrill-seekers, this drift dive offers strong currents and fast-paced fun. Scuba divers can glide through thick kelp forests spotting southern rock lobsters, abalone, and the occasional seal. For experienced divers only.
5. Submarine Dive Site (ex-Navy Subs)
Explore four decommissioned submarines from the Australian Naval fleet. These artificial reefs offer advanced scuba divers the chance to navigate large, haunting structures teeming with fish and covered in sponges and corals.
