1. The Conger's Cave
This site is renowned for its vibrant marine life, including conger eels and leopard gobies. The adventure level is advanced due to its depth range from 12 to 33 meters. Scuba diving is the primary activity here. Special features include a wall rich in red coral and a cave habitat.
2. The Wreck of the Melania
Popular for its historical intrigue, this site hosts a variety of marine species such as shrimp, lobsters, and nudibranch, especially during night dives. The wreck is split into three sections. It is suitable for advanced scuba divers and offers a unique wreck diving experience.
3. The Concone
Named for its large basin on the seafloor, this site features ravines teeming with groupers. It is an advanced dive, reaching depths of up to 39 meters. Scuba diving is common here, and the area is known for its rich biodiversity and underwater formations.
4. Punta Righini
This site is excellent for freediving and scuba diving, suitable for both beginner and advanced divers. Known for its clear waters and diverse marine life, it offers underwater rock formations and is a part of a protected marine area.
5. Secche della Meloria
Located in a marine protected area, this site is ideal for both scuba and freediving. It features shallow waters filled with seagrass beds and various fish species. The adventure level is easy, making it suitable for beginners. Its ecological importance adds to its allure.
Parhaat kuukaudet sukeltaa Livornossa
Paras aika sukeltaa Livornon rannikolla on kesäkuukausina, jolloin veden lämpötila on lämpimimmillään. Kesä-, heinä- ja elokuussa veden lämpötila voi nousta noin 26 ℃:iin, mikä tarkoittaa myös sitä, että sukelluskohteet ovat vilkkaimmillaan. Talvella lämpötila voi laskea jopa 10 ℃. Tänä aikana suositellaan kuivapukua, ja merieläinten määrä vähenee.
