23 years ago, I had this crazy idea of giving up the printing job I’d done for the previous 17 years to become a diving instructor. That is when 2DiVE4 was first founded, along with my business partner. The early years were rocky; new to instructing, new to running a business. I made plenty of mistakes along the way, with many friends and some family advising me to give it up and go back to a normal job. However, I was certain I could make it work.
There were 4 BIG changes in 2DiVE4’s scuba diving journey.
In 2011, I took over 2DiVE4 Scuba School all on my own. My ideas, my challenges and ultimately my risks. I built up the 2DiVE4 reputation by providing quality tuition and using top-quality diving equipment within a stable training structure.
In 2017, I realised 2DiVE4 needed to improve the customer experience. With this move, we began training a better-quality teaching team. A team that I trusted and that trusted me. We started becoming a 2DiVE4 dive family, working together as a TEAM. All of our 2DiVE4 students benefited from a happier learning environment in a fun and professional structure. This was when I realised we had the perfect recipe for teaching students. The key is the correct dive team, conducting courses in a fun & professional manner.
2019..... COVID! This was when the world stopped. All courses needed to be postponed, and we all had to stay at home. I went into the dive centre every day. For 4 months, no one came through the door. Only a sprinkling of enquiries. It gave me a chance to change the dive centre around, partitioning walls, new signage, and digitalising all paperwork. I knew when things opened up again, enquiries would go through the roof. They did, however, 2DiVE4 was ready, with the new look paperless dive centre and a vastly improved carbon footprint. We are now rocking!
In 2025/26, 2DiVE4 Scuba School looked again to see how we could improve the customer experience. The experience we were offering our students was good; however, we didn’t want to stop there. This is where SSI came in. Their successful business model and modern, inspiring approach to student retention, driven by their modern training curriculum, were the missing pieces in the 2DiVE4 jigsaw........ The future is looking bright!

First aid training: 2DiVE4 can offer first aid training, CPR, AED and also emergency oxygen administration.
Scuba kit servicing & cylinder testing: 2DiVE4 can service all brands of dive regulators, BCD’s/wings and offer battery changes in all brands of dive computers. We also offer cylinder testing and O2 cleaning.
