Ronjenje u Drake Bayu moguće je tijekom cijele godine jer su uvjeti ugodni. Temperatura vode kreće se od 24°C u kišnoj sezoni, koja traje od svibnja do studenog, do 28°C u sušnoj sezoni. Kišna sezona obično znači samo poneki pljusak poslijepodne, tako da to ne utječe često na ronjenje. Vidljivost se ovdje kreće između 10 i 30 metara.
