Wir sind Philipp und Sabrina, ursprünglich aus der Schweiz. 2022 habe ich (Philipp) mich dazu entschieden, mein Hobby zum Beruf zu machen. Zum Glück kann ich meine Leidenschaft mit meiner Frau (Sabrina) teilen. Somit startete ich meinen Weg, in dem ich die Ausbildung zum SSI Dive Master machte. Gleich anschliessend habe ich den Weg über den SSI Assistant Instructor zum SSI Open Water Instructor gemacht. Meine Ausbildung vom SSI Dive Master zum SSI Open Water Instructor habe ich alles in der Schweiz, mehrheitlich im Zürichsee gemacht. Durch meine früheren Ausbildungen verteilt über den halben Planeten wusste ich, dass ich keine Tauchschule am Zürichsee bzw in der Schweiz eröffnen will, sondern am Meer. Mehr durch einen Zufall stiess ich im Sommer 2024 auf ein Inserat von Mimi und Basti, welche ihre Tauchschule in Rabac, Istrien, Kroatien zum Verkauf anboten. Wir mussten nicht lange überlegen und entschlossen uns, diving-rabac.de zu übernehmen. Nun sind wir hier, freuen uns mit euch allen zusammen durchzustarten.
Wir bieten eine Reihe von Kursen an, von Try Scuba und Open Water Diver bis hin zu Advanced Adventurer und Dive Master. Du kannst auch die meisten SSI-Spezialkurse bei uns machen.
Wir bieten: Tägliche Bootsausfahrten, Tägliche Landtauchgänge, Selbstständiges Tauchen möglich (mit entsprechender Ausbildung im Solo Diving (Independent Diving) und benötigter Ausrüstung kann auch alleine getaucht werden), Stau- und Trockenraum, Hartrumpf-Schlauchboot mit 250PS für 12 Personen, 2 Bauer Atemluft Füllanlagen, 15 komplette Tauchausrüstungen, auch für Kinder! 40 Stahlflaschen diverser Volumen (8, 10, 12, 15 Liter) mit DIN-Anschluss, Notfall-Sauerstoffgeräte, Erste-Hilfe-Koffer.
Der romantische Ferienort Rabac liegt an der Ostküste der Region Istrien unweit des Gebirgszuges Ucka. Das einstige Fischerdorf hat sich im Laufe der letzten Jahrzehnte zu einem der beliebtesten Urlaubsorte der Region entwickelt. Unsere Tauchbasis befindet sich im Hotel Mimosa am Maslinica Beach in Rabac. Unweit der Tauchschule befinden sich zwei weitere Hotels, ein Campingplatz und unzählige Apartments.
The LINA is an iron ship built in England in 1879. It became Italian property in 1901 and worked as a freight forwarder in the Mediterranean. On December 14, 1914, it collided with the shores of Cres, where it sank very quickly.
Three entrances offer a lot of variety.1: Directly below the Dive Center, here you can dive right or left shoulder. 2:50m N/E before the nudist beach you dive the wall right shoulder and at the marker back to the beach. 3:50m S/W this time dive left shoulder to the marker and back over the reef.
A boat ride from 30 minutes will take us south of Rabac to the site of Crna Punta. A wonderful wall with big swim-throughs and even caves are hidden below the surface.
Sveta Marina is located south of Rabac and is characterized by two beautiful reef walls. It is possible to dive here from shore and by boat.
Golubjera is located north of Rabac and is only accessible by boat. The dive site is suitable for both beginners and advanced divers and is characterized by numerous crevasses and caves which provide hiding places for fish and invertebrates. Due to the topography this site is suited for divers of all levels.
Diving site Barbakovac, also called “rock gate“, is located south of Rabac near the small town of Ravni. At a depth of approx. 15 and 38 meters, you can dive through two impressive swimthroughs, which are densely overgrown with yellow encrusted anemones. A few minutes swim further, there is a wreck laying at 30m.
Babina is located south of Rabac. You start from a plateau at approx. 5 meters and dive towards the east until you reach the edge at approx. 20 meters. The edge continues north in the form of a beautifully overgrown wall.
The divesite Jadrina, also called Nikolai Grotto, is located south of Rabac and is one of the interesting diving spots on the east coast of Istria. The approximately huge cave is at a depth of 24 meters at the bottom of a beautiful wall.
Duga Luka is a dive site south of Rabac. The most interesting part of this dive site is in a depth between 10m and 20m. There are many overhangs and crevices in the walls sloping down to a depth of 20m.
The bay of Rabac is directly located in front of Diving RABAC diving center. It has a pebble beach entrance that continues in a sandy bottom. It is ideal for skills and navigation practice.
A short 10 minutes boat ride will take you from Rabac to the bay of Plomin. The dive site is located on the north outside of the bay. In the shallower area there are overhangs to be found. When following the slope deeper there are walls and and many interesting rock formations.
In only 15 minutes we arrive in the picturesque bay that is the entry point of this dive site. In the shallower sandy bottom the remains of an unknown wreck can be found. In the deeper parts an imposing wall whereas the shallower area houses numerous big boulders where fish like to hide.
The Babino Wall dive site is located to the south of Rabac. Starting from a plateau at around 6 metres, you first dive eastwards along the edge to around 20 metres. Then, follow the edge to the left to discover a beautifully overgrown, steep wall extending further north into the depths.
Brestova is located north of Rabac and is characterized by a breathtaking cliff with many crevices and small caves. You can only dive this site by boat.
