Top Wildlife Sightings in Sweden

Sweden’s seas host cod, flatfish, herring, and wrasse, often around kelp forests and wrecks. Seals are a common highlight, especially in the Baltic, while porpoises are occasionally spotted in summer. Sharks and rays are rare but possible offshore.

In freshwater lakes, divers can expect pike, perch, and zander. Large catfish may appear in southern waters, while spawning activity in spring brings shoals of bream and roach. Visibility is best in colder months, though summer diving offers warmer but murkier conditions.
