Margareta af Vätö

★★★★☆ (2,953)

Margareta af Vätö (also called “Maggan“) was a two-masted brig that sank on a cold winter night in December 1898 on its return journey to Stockholm from Lübeck. Margareta lies with her stern against the rocks she briefly drifted before she sank. The wreck is very intact in many places.

You can see quite a few perch hiding in the wreck. It is very common to see jellyfish, clams and other small fish. Seals have also been observed on a few occasions.
