The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program provides divers with the necessary training to independently plan and conduct limited penetration, no-decompression dives within the sunlight area, to a maximum depth of 30 meters or a linear distance of 40 meters, and using procedures and equipment for overhead environments, with a buddy of equal or greater qualification.To advance from the SSI Wreck Diving certification to the SSI Advanced Wreck Diving certification, the student must:Complete at least one (1) shore session as outlined in the Wreck Diving program instructor manual.Complete at least two (2) additional open water training dives, including all skills listed in Open Water Training Dives 3 and 4 of the Wreck Diving Instructor Manual.

If you dive in a body of water from 300 to 3000 meters (1000 to 10000 feet) above sea level, this is called altitude diving. Most algorithms are designed to plan dives down to 300 meters (1000 feet). During your Altitude Diving program, you will find everything you need to plan dives at higher altitudes safely. The Maya believed that cenotes were portals to the underworld. These mystical sites are ancient limestone sinkholes with crystal clear waters that are perfect for a unique freshwater diving experience. There are more than 6,000 cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula. More advanced cave divers can explore the hundreds of kilometers of subway rivers in the area. The two most important departure ports for diving trips are Cancun and Playa del Carmen. You can also decide to explore only the sinkhole area of the cenote, which requires you to have an Open Water certification. Be aware that some of the cenotes may require divers to walk long distances through the jungle, which is an adventure in itself. Diving in Mexico's cenotes is definitely an awesome experience.

In two webinars, we explain the basic operation of compressors, without depending on a specific model. The SSI Classified Diving Program offers adaptive training for students with reduced mobility or sensory impairments, allowing them to dive with one or more Classified Dive Buddies or a Classified Dive Professional. What is the Classified Diving program? The student-centered SSI Classified Diving program is designed specifically for individuals who are unable to meet some of the stand-alone dive skill requirements for SSI Open Water Diver certification. SSI Classified Diving Instructors know how to tailor the SSI Open Water Diver program and training materials to meet the specific needs of their students. All Classified Diving students complete all Open Water Diver program skill assessments. However, depending on your abilities, specific techniques may change and assistance in performing them is allowed.
