Join us on our snorkel boat and explore the beautiful waters around Samos. During the trip we provide some tips and tricks to improve your snorkel techniques. We visit 3 to 4 dive spots, depending on the preference of the group. On the boat we provide extra flotation aids, water, hot tea, fresh fruit and of course all snorkel gear is included. The sea! Mystical, exciting, beautiful! Around two thirds of the earth's surface is covered by the sea. Logically, the sea is therefore an enormously important space for humans. It serves as a habitat, as a transportation and trade route, as a source of food or simply as a place for recreation and sport. And although the world's oceans play such an important role in human history, only around 5% of them have been explored. At the same time, the part that is already known is being excessively used and exploited to supply people all over the world with marine products, often at the expense of ecosystems and marine organisms! If that were not enough, the sea also serves directly and indirectly as a garbage can and catch basin for all kinds of pollutants. Whether heavy metals, crude oil, microplastics or any kind of waste - all of these can now be found in the world's oceans. It is clear that the sea needs our help! This exhibition deals with the topics of marine use and marine pollution in a very vivid way!

UNDERWATER CLEAN UP - FEMALE ISLAND BECOMES A BLUE OCEANS AMBASSADOR It's no secret: Every year tens of thousands of marine animals and seabirds die because they eat or become entangled in trash in the ocean. This marine debris is known to devastate habitats (both underwater and on land), enter the food chain of aquatic life (in turn reaching our digestive systems), and foul once pristine and pristine coastal areas. 70 percent of the trash that ends up in our ocean sinks to the seafloor. Join the Underwater Clea Up program that harnesses the potential of divers and uses their love of the ocean to help solve the problem of underwater marine debris. We are proud to support this global citizen science project by conducting weekly cleanup dives in our precious coral reefs. How our Underwater Clean Up meeting works at Diving Center Saracen at 09:30 we will provide tanks, weights and net bags, so all you have to do is bring yourself and your diving equipment (equipment rental is available) Our dive starts at the Scalo Madonna dive site in Isola delle Femmine near the dive center and lasts 45-50 minutes, then all the debris collected after the dive will be separated and sorted so that we can identify the major sources of marine pollutants finally we will conclude with coffee and a brainstorming session on effective solutions we can implement locally to stop the waste at the source. Beach Clean Up in cooperation with Carlskrona Seal Divers

At the end of the summer season we would like the pools we love to dive in to be left clean. So that fish have as little contact as possible with plastic and other waste left behind by tourists/ day trippers.

Introduction to the aquatic environment (freshwater) - types of water, basic bio/physical processes and how they affect us as divers (e.g. visibility, how to measure, how where changes throughout the year and why) + a brief overview of life in freshwater, which will be covered in detail in a follow-up lecture series not just for divers.

We invite divers and non-divers to join us for a monthly get-together to eat, drink and share news.

Every Wednesday from mid-May to the beginning of September we offer a guided dive in a nearby lake. Prerequisite: At least SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another diving association and a valid diving fitness certificate For club members participation is free of charge (rental equipment for a fee), for non-club members we have to charge a fee of € 10.- (if a dive guide / supervision by us / our DivePROs is desired or required - this does not apply to participants who are self-sufficient, i.e. only looking for a buddy and can also lead a dive themselves).

Who's up for an after work dive? We meet at the base from 5 pm. Bring something to grill and dishes.... KEIN EINWEG !!!! Everyone will find a buddy here

In the summer months (May - October) we meet every Friday at 5 pm at the diving school for a fun dive, followed by the opportunity to talk shop, plan further activities or have a barbecue together.
