Common Bream

The common bream is a European freshwater fish species in the Cyprinidae family, otherwise commonly known as carp. You can dive with common bream in lakes, ponds, and slow-flowing rivers throughout Europe; however, their greatest concentration is in the Alps and Pyrenees mountains and the Balkans peninsula. Since these bodies of water are on the colder side, you will need a thick wetsuit or drysuit, depending on the time of year.

Galop Island Canal (★4.3)

Entry is a giant stride by the bridge. Coordinate entry to avoid separation. Initial canal depth is 20–25 ft. Prepare to navigate a shallow section (~10 ft) where the Canal connects to the river; it has strong current and boat traffic - stay close to the bottom. Use caution and SMB if appropriate.

This location is a gravel pit, located near Bratislava, about 3 km from the city of Podunajské Biskupice, near the villages Rovinka and Dunajská Lužná. Košariská is interesting mainly due to the depth. You can find places with depths up to 43m. The water in the lakes is clean and the quality is close to drinking.

Buford Spring is located in a swampy area of the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area in Hernando County, FL. Divers must check in at an iron ranger at the main entrance off US 19 and pay a $3.00 daily fee. The maximum depth is about 50 mtr/165 feet at the siphoning downstream end of the main cavern/cave.

Brandy Branch Reservoir Boat Launch (★2.8)

4.1 Miles South of I-20 on FM 3251. (Look for sign “Public Boat Ramp“) Its only a mile down Boat Launch. Vegetation can be thick in the summer. Start dive at boat launch. 330° or NNW 200 yards and your out of the vegetation. Depth is about 24 feet. A lot of stumps and trees. Wall of grass you can follow.
